First Story: Key Player Palmer Ready for Crucial London Clash with The Gunners

The Blues manager Enzo Maresca announced on Friday that Cole Palmer is ready to play for the team's significant Premier League encounter against London opponents Arsenal.

The young English midfielder had been sidelined due to a broken toe incurred after an unfortunate incident.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca commented. “All involved are pleased.”

This season, Palmer has featured in just four games in every contest, netting two goals.

Following his transfer from City in 2023, he has recorded 45 strikes and 29 setups in 101 matches for the London club.

“He is our best player, we are happy he is back, we need to provide him with time to be 100% fit,” Maresca noted. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do very good for this club in the future.”

2. Everton Receive No Reason for Failed Gueye Dismissal Appeal

The Merseyside club have failed in their protest against Idrissa Gueye's red card for a fight with teammate Michael Keane during the squad's narrow win at Old Trafford.

The veteran Senegal player was sent off only early on into the contest after hitting Keane amid a disagreement over a poor pass.

Gueye quickly said sorry, and the pair were seen reconciled afterwards in a light-hearted online post.

However, the challenge against the dismissal was turned down, and Gueye must serve a three-match ban, making Everton depleted for their upcoming match against Newcastle.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” coach David Moyes revealed. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about any further fallout from the incident, Moyes added: “It was over immediately, it was done, that was it, we progressed quite quickly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

3. Yoane Wissa Practices with Newcastle for First Time since Setback

The club's recent signing Yoane Wissa has trained with his new teammates for the first time since suffering a knee injury soon after his move from his former club in September.

Head coach Eddie Howe announced the development on the end of the week but did not disclose a potential return date for the 29-year-old.

The team signed the striker for £55m to fill the void left by Alexander Isak, who moved to Liverpool for a record-breaking transfer fee.

Unfortunately, Wissa was hurt while on national team duty before he could play his first game for Newcastle.

West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has insisted that Liverpool' dip in performance “should not be a focus” as his side prepares to face the ailing Premier League title holders.

However, Nuno stressed that there can be no taking it easy when the sides clash on the weekend at the their home ground.

“The past of the results before, the form of the teams, doesn’t really matter. It is about the day. Aware that we are going to face a very good team, that has players able of doing amazing feats, so we have to get ready, to challenge.”

West Ham will have available Lucas Paquetá after his ban, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are progressing in their recovery from fitness issues.

Fifth Story: Morgan Gibbs-White Could Feature for Nottingham Forest against Brighton

Nottingham Forest's manager Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be fit for the side's at home fixture against Brighton on the weekend.

The English international missed the midweek European match against the Swedish side due to a back injury.

“Hopefully it’s settling down,” Dyche stated as he prepared to face the Brighton manager's team, who have secured a decent haul from their past three matches.

“It’s similar to a sore back, but a waking-up sort of injury, one where you just sleep funny or move improperly. So we’re not anticipating, at this point anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s settling down already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be okay for the weekend.”

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring after the 3-0 Europa League win, but Dyche indicated the player “is expected to be okay”.

Meanwhile, the full-back (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), the winger (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are expected to miss out.

6. Glasner: Conference League Loss Won't Hinder Palace

Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner believes that the disappointment of midweek's Conference League defeat to Strasbourg is a indication of how much progress the team has advanced in competing on two fronts.
